Our Company History
CWR has a long, rich history of representing premier brands in the plumbing industry.
The Wingard Corporation Is Established
Lester Wingard established The Wingard Corporation in Fort Worth, TX in 1942 beginning a legacy of long-lasting relationships with manufacturers, plumbing wholesalers, contractors and builders.
Core Partnerships Emerge
Throughout the 1940's, The Wingard Corporation began building core partnerships with premier plumbing manufacturers, including Bemis Manufacturing and General Pipe Cleaners, two lines we continue to proudly represent today. While innovations in the plumbing industry have continued over the years, CWR’s core values have never changed. Reliable. Professional. Persistent.
The Legacy Continues
Noble Corbett joined Wingard in 1974 as an outside salesman in the West Texas market. Noble would go on to set many sales records for the company and in 1990 would win "Salesman of the Year" from the Wholesale Distributors Association.

Maureen Mueller joined the company in the mid-1980's. To this day, Maureen continues to use her sales and field experience to support outside sales efforts, while also managing our North Texas warehouse location.

In 1986, Mike Ray joined The Wingard Corp. Mike had completed his formal education from Texas A&M University receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial distribution and served thirteen years in the Texas Army National Guard.

A year later, founder Lester Wingard passed away, leaving the business to his son Alan. After several successful years leading one of the top-rated sales agencies in Texas, Alan Wingard passed away unexpectedly in 1990, leaving the business to his widow, Linda.

Corbett, Wingard & Ray Is Founded
In 1995, Noble Corbett and Mike Ray purchased The Wingard Corporation, establishing Corbett, Wingard & Ray. The agency continues to grow expanding into Spring, TX in 1998 opening a second location and warehouse space.
In 2009, Noble Corbett retired after a long, successful career in the rep business, leaving Mike Ray as the sole proprietor. At this time, the corporate headquarters are moved from North Texas to Spring, where it is still located today.
